Naomi Gores 2019 Recipient of the MLET Eddie Johnson Award

The James Gang joins the Maritime Logistics Education Taskforce (MLET) in congratulating Ms. Naomi Gores of New Hampstead High in Savannah, GA on her recognition as the 2019 MLET Eddie Johnson Award recipient.  This award is offered to the outstanding intern each year. It is possible through the generosity of the local maritime-logistics community with money raised via donations from industry professionals in honor of one of the MLET founding board members, Eddie Johnson. Mr. Eddie Johnson was a long time member of the maritime community in the Savannah area with a passion for leading youth to career opportunities and mentorships in the industry. In her application essay, Ms. Gores stated, “The internship has provided me the foundation to start my career and created excitement about my future direction.” Ms. Gores began a 10 week paid internship with John S. James Co. in January 2019 and will continue her internship through graduation 2020. https://www.facebook.com/maritimelogisticseducationtaskforce/ #jamesgang #portcitylogistics
