The evolution of containerships since the introduction of the shipping container in 1956 is truly fascinating.18 years after the introduction of the container, we made the decision to order our very first fully built cellular container ship, Svendborg Mærsk.
Since then, container vessels have not only played a key role in our business, but we’ve also worked to innovate, optimize and improve them to better serve our customers. This has led to the invention of 3 world record breaking container ship series: The K, E and Triple E Series.
