Day One – John S James Employee Appreciation Week 2019
We kicked off the John S James Employee Appreciation week in style with a Motivational Monday. Our Savannah Office got some hearty carbs for breakfast followed up by some yoga and stretches. Charlotte got busy with a Mexican Fiesta and a cornhole tournament. Knoxville had an awesome breakfast plus a Heads Up challenge. Our Charleston Office got motivated with a 4k Race-Walk. John S James is looking forward to a great week celebrating our greatest assets, our employees!!

Naomi Gores 2019 Recipient of the MLET Eddie Johnson Award
The James Gang joins the Maritime Logistics Education Taskforce (MLET) in congratulating Ms. Naomi Gores of New Hampstead High in Savannah, GA on her recognition as the 2019 MLET Eddie Johnson Award recipient. This award is offered to the outstanding intern each year. It is possible through the generosity of the local maritime-logistics community with money raised via donations from industry professionals in honor of one of the MLET founding board members, Eddie Johnson. On April 23, 2019, Savannah Port Director Lisa Beth Brown was a special guest at the IFFCBAS meeting. After serving as Port Director for 8 years in Savannah, Ms. Brown is transferring to a post in Blaine, WA. The IFFCBAS community presented Ms. Brown with a small gift as a token of our enduring appreciation for her service.
